Just want to be "boring"

Well, I'm finally sick of being alone when it comes to needlecrafting. I found a local chat room & just joined Ravelry. I think I was born in the wrong century because I think it was so wonderful how everyone used to sit around & do handy crafts or read (my other favorite hobby) instead of gawking at the television. People could chat or discuss what they were doing. It just seems like such a dream existence. Some would say it's boring, but I'd take that over partying anytime (and I've done my share of partying - I come from a crazy Irish family).

Okay, enough of that. Seriously, I've been doing it for so long & would just like to meet some like-minded friends. I love the friends I have now, but they don't understand. Eventhough I've tried to teach them, it doesn't seem to be in their blood. Oh well. We'll see what the future holds.

  1. Absolutely start your own group! A vigorous group got started at the B&Nobles [sunset point]every sunday in Clearwater several years ago because one woman started knitting in the cafe every Sunday...before long people started wandering over and sitting with her....it's still going strong!
